Portfolio

We were learning about angles, so i thought a flower would be a perfect target to get the angles down..

I love this picture, cause it is such a unique view.

How would a bug see the things we see..

God's creation, there is nothing like it.

This is Maverick.. I love this picture.

Maverick again,I love how he has his head cocked.

I love how it is focused on a few of the books and the rest are kinda just there.

The most important thing to me.

The cuteness, this ferret was ment to be a model.

The Love of God

I'm back :). I know I haven't posted on here in awhile, but I had to write a paper for school and Mom wanted me to post it on here, so here I am.

I am going to give you an idea of what I had to write about in this paper. I had to take a characteristic of God and write a short essay comparing that characteristic to a mountain and I felt that God wanted me to right this. I hope it is an encouragement to you all.

Sammy J Sellers

The Love of God

I don't think it is right to compare the Love of God to a mountain because I think that it would be dwarfing the actual amount of His love for His creation. The truth is even the entirety of space could not contain the amount of love that God has for us, His children, and His creation. The Bible says in John 3:16 "For God so love the world, that He gave His ONLY begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life". What kind of father could give up His only son to die for a people who still to this day rebel against Him. I know that if I was a father I could do it, Not for people as unappreciative as we are.

I think the love of God goes far beyond the heights of a mountain, but let the mountain be a reminder of God's love and what He did for us.

Do you see as God sees?

Wow I have been slacking... It's been my turn to blog for a while now and I just have not done. Sorry.

I have entitled this post "Do you see as God sees?" cause that has basically been the theme of my life lessons lately. And it is a question that I believe we find ourselves too busy to ask.
Which raises another question? What does Christianity really mean? If it is not about seeing the people/the world around us through the eyes of God, then what is it about?

I am not going to put much down because I want the Holy Spirit to talk to you for Himself. Then I would like to see comments to this post with some answers to the questions above. May the Lord Jesus Christ and His Father receive all the glory as we all meditate on these thought-provoking questions.

Love ya all,
Paul-Michael James

Feeding Time!

Hello to all,
I pray that you are encouraged in your faith in Christ. I was writing today on my blog, http//familymansam@blogspot.com, about feeding our souls and the importance of it.
How much do you feed your soul? Do you feed your soul everytime you feed your body? If you are like us--and most Christians--the answer is no!
Well, even though this is a sad commentary on our lives and the church today we can still change things for the glory of God!
This is one practical thing to do: after every meal you eat--feeding the body, get up and get your Bible and spend some time feeding and nourishing your soul.
Our family: I make an announcement after our meal, "time to feed your soul!" And everyone spends some time in the Word. It is a blessing. I encourage you moms and dads to put this I to practice with your families. I believe all will benefit from it.
I'll let you know how it goes with us. Please leave comments about how it has effected your lives. I pray God is honored and glorified through it all.
God bless you and keep you all! To God be the Glory!

Beware of wrong teachings!

Hello,I would like to share something thats been on my heart.

Today we have many false doctrines in the church, because we know not God's word. The bible states in Matthew 22:29,"Jesus answered and said unto them,
'Ye do err ,not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God'."
I've heard people say that Judas Iscariot went to heaven because he "did the will of God."
When the bible clearly states in Matthew 26:24,Mark 14:21,and Luke 22:22--
"...woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed and all except Luke say that it's would be better if he wasn't even born."
Thats why we must try all spirits, like in John 4:1. We must use the bible to be our spiritual glasses to be able to spot what is of Christ and what's not.

God Bless-
Joseph

Becoming 18

By Alex Sellers

Note by Mom- this year we had another wonderful child turn 18. Like Paul- we posed the grand question- What does it mean to you to turn 18?

This was Alex’s speech he read to everyone.

“ Becoming 18 really is no big deal when you think about it, but in another sense it is. The world sees turning 18, as a time to breakout, but loose from the bonds of parents and authority and become your own person. I see turning 18 as the beginning of a trial period of REAL submission.(to authority-added by mom) During this time bewteen the age of 18 and marriage the world is going to press in on me saying things like

“ So what do you think you should be doing?”   or

“ So what are your plans?”

With questions such as these it would be my responsibility with God’s help, to say

“ I don’t know because God hasn’t revealed anything to my parents  yet”

In Exodus 20:12 the bible says “ Honor your father and mother….”

until you are 18 then say I’m a man now and be on your way. No, it says “ Honor your father and your mother.”

Leviticus 19:32  says “ Thou shalt rise the hoary (grey) head and honor the face of the old man.”

Proverbs 16:31

“ The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.”  Meaning no matter how old you are, you’re still required to honor your grey haired parents!

Even Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane prays this prayer in Math 26:39

“ On my Father…. not as I will, but as Thou wilt.”

Therefore(in light of what has just been said) know that even Jesus surrendered HIS will to His Father, that makes turning 18 to me no more than a stepping stone to total submission to my parents and to God. “
